FD30S fire doors in Maesteg: how we work
We fit FD30S smoke control doorsets for flats, stairs and corridors in Maesteg and the rest of Mid Glamorgan. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Whether your building is in central Maesteg or on its edges towards Briton Ferry, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Regulations for FD30S fire doors in Mid Glamorgan
In Maesteg the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.

FD30S fire doors in Maesteg: questions
Can you work around tenants or staff in Maesteg?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Is the survey in Maesteg free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Maesteg.
What is the difference between FD30 and FD30S?
Both resist fire for 30 minutes. FD30S also has tested smoke seals that limit cold smoke passing around the leaf before the intumescent strip activates.
