Our Bowthorpe supply and fit service

Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits FD30 fire doors in Bowthorpe, Norfolk. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.

Bowthorpe is about 4 miles from Norwich; we cover both, along with Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Thetford.

Which rules apply in Bowthorpe?

In Bowthorpe, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

Questions about FD30 fire doors in Bowthorpe

Can you fit just one door in Bowthorpe?

Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Norfolk.

Is the survey in Bowthorpe free?

Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.

Which rules do FD30 fire doors in Bowthorpe need to meet?

They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

Can I fit an FD30 door into my existing frame?

Only if the manufacturer's evidence allows that frame, which is rare. We normally supply the complete doorset with a new frame so the certification carries through to the finished job.
