Composite fire doors in Grays

Getting composite fire doors fitted in Grays

We cover Grays and nearby South Ockendon for composite fire doors, with surveys booked around your building's access and occupancy. Each door is quoted individually, so you can see what every opening costs and why.

Grays is about 17 miles from Southend-on-Sea; we cover both, along with South Ockendon, Gravesend and Dartford.

Fire door rules in Grays

In Grays, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

Guide prices in Grays

Our guide price for composite fire doors in Grays is £1,200 to £2,200 per door including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.

The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
