Our Sevenoaks supply and fit service
We fit acoustic fire doorsets in Sevenoaks and the rest of Kent. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Sevenoaks is about 14 miles from Maidstone; we cover both, along with Tonbridge, Swanley and Tunbridge Wells.
Fire door rules in Sevenoaks
New and replacement fire doors in Sevenoaks are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Guide prices in Sevenoaks
Guide prices for acoustic fire doors in Sevenoaks run from about £1,100 to £2,000 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
