Acoustic Fire Doors in Holloway

Getting acoustic fire doors fitted in Holloway

We fit acoustic fire doorsets in Holloway and the rest of Greater London. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.

Whether your building is in central Holloway or on its edges towards Highbury, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.

Regulations for acoustic fire doors in Greater London

New and replacement fire doors in Holloway are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.

What do acoustic fire doors cost in Holloway?

Budget around £1,100 to £2,000 per single doorset for acoustic fire doors supplied and fitted in Holloway, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.

Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.

Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Where acoustic fire doors are needed

In Holloway, acoustic fire doors are typically needed in flat entrances on busy corridors and studios and music rooms.

London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
