Because Truro is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
What do acoustic fire doors cost in Truro?
Our guide for acoustic fire doors is £1,100–£2,000 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Truro are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Truro?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
How quickly can you survey in Truro?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Truro visits with other work in Cornwall. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Are acoustic fire doors heavier?
Yes, usually, so they may need stronger closers and hinges.
